Food Review: It all started with a show…

A couple of years ago I was watching TV (I happen to do a lot of this) — specifically Man V Food with Adam Richman. In this particular episode, he was in the Magic City (Miami for any of you who may be in doubt). La Moon, one of the spots he visited, caught my attention and I felt this need to go. Unfortunately, at the time, the delicious opportunity never presented itself. Until the other day.

Initial Impression: It has a certain je ne sais quoi feel and being that it was 1 AM when our party of three rolled up VERY busy (but that’s what you get when you’re in Brickell at that time). It may not be one of the most scenic places in the Brickell area, but what it lacks in decor, it makes up in taste.

What I Had:

Supermoon Perro / smoked sausage / bacon / quail egg / five different sauces / potato crunchies

La Moon Supermoon Perro
La Moon Supermoon Perro

Final Verdict: If you’re in the area and are hungry, this place is a must. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out. My two Latina counterparts each had an arepa, which they both enjoyed. I was offered a piece of the arepa, but as you can see by the monstrous hot dog before me — I declined. I have never really been a lover of the dog, but this bad boy is in a league of its own. Of all the late night (or early morning) food runs that I have participated in, this was by far the best. Can you say: repeat customer?

Interested in going? Let me know!

xoxo,

M
